Our story

Festival Church first began life as Chester Pentecostal Church
It all started when Clifford and Eunice Beasley held a church service in their living room in Kings Crescent East, Great Boughton, on Sunday, 18th January 1976.

Three months later, the Penri Welsh Chapel in Gorse Stacks agreed to allow the new fellowship to use their premises on Sunday afternoons - this continued for a period of 9 months.

In January 1977, the church rented accommodation alongside the Fountains Roundabout and remained there until 1986 when it moved to its present premises in Queen Street (formerly a Welsh Methodist Chapel), and became known as the Queen Street Christian Centre.

In 2015 we marked the next chapter of our story by changing our name to Festival Church.
